Andy and his Lucky Shell

The Lyons household is generally full of excitement in one way shape or form. And last night was no disappointment. Who would have thought that Andy’s canine tooth was .22 inches in diameter. Just the right size for an empty .22 shell casing to fit snuggly over, and get stuck when he bit down. It turns out that Andy had the "lucky" .22 shell casing from when he and Grandpa went hunting. Here are some quotes from our IM chat after they consulted their dentist friend for the best course of action.

"it took forceps and we were instructed to twist but not rock so we didn’t pull the tooth"

"before i could put the forceps into andy’s mouth i had to wash in hot soapy water, cuz they are used for taking the hooks out of fish"

Some experiences you just don’t get growing up in town.
