In American Sign Language, that is. This week Olivia has repeatedly signed "more" when asked if she’d like to continue playing or singing or if she’d like more food. We might have some false positives at first, but it is so exciting to see her answer a question! We’ve been practicing our signs from Kindermusik’s Sign & Sing class and she has apparently been paying attention. What fun!!

J.R. and Jenny,
I know we all had our discussion on who Olivia got her intellegence from and all of that, but……If you are talking about sign language, I just spent the day harvesting beans, dodging showers, and helping some of the Stara family park trucks and combines and grain carts in machine sheds multiple times. She had to get the gift of hand signals and sign language from her Grandma Bonnie. While they don’t exactly use American Sign Language, there is no mistaking some of those signals or what they mean in any country or language. I can do a great “OOPS”, but they can signal such things as “more”, “stop”, “Come on back”, “What the Heck are you doing?”, and so much more.
As always

Not that I didn’t believe it, but I have seen Miss Olivia sign with my own eyes and she really meant “more” as she was being offered a drink of pop!
I’ve enjoyed seeing Olivia on the webcam–let’s keep it up!
Love,
Mom/Grandma
