Thumbs Up!

This past Friday we had another chance to check in on our new addition with an ultrasound. It is pretty amazing to see the technology in action. They measure all kinds of things and can even check on the parts of the brain, the chambers of the heart, internal organs like the kidneys, blood flow in the cord, and sometimes when the baby cooperates the ‘private parts’. Well this baby was a little shy so we aren’t 100% sure, but the best guess is that it is a girl! She was also hiding her face so we will have another ultrasound in about 4 weeks and might get a better look. We’re just ecstatic that the baby is healthy. It is easy to take for granted that things will turn out perfectly and how much of a miracle life really is, so say a prayer for a family somewhere that isn’t as fortunate. Despite being a little shy, our little one seemed to be in pretty good spirits and even gave us a thumbs up.

I’m astounded at the clear picture! If you have more pictures, I’d love to see them! This amazing technology has really improved since I had babies!

Baby Andrews is clearly showing a preference for Texas A&M with his "Gig ‘em Aggies" thumbs up. :)

I’m so excited for you. Anyone who can have as cute a baby as Olivia ought to have a dozen. Well—-maybe not that many!! Love ya, Great G’ma Hatt

I think Great Grandma Hatt is right…..But, maybe a Baker’s dozen would be better. :) Congratulations! Though, I could’ve sworn it was going to be a boy! ;) I guess I have the boys and you have the girls…. Now we just have to PATIENTLY await the birth so we can find out Baby’s name. :)

    Love, from very cold Nebraska

Devin said it before I could. I haven’t been in College Station that long, but that certainly looks like a Gig ‘em to me! Not to worry, St. Mary’s will take good care of her (or him). :) Glad to hear things are moving along as they should. You remain in my prayers. Love ya’s!
