This morning we awoke to the most joyful news that my brother, 1LT Nathan Kane, is on his way home!! After a long year’s deployment in Iraq, Nathan has arrived safely in Kuwait to begin his journey home. Obviously, we are all thrilled to get the news and eagerly await his arrival in Nebraska. Though JR, Olivia, Baby & I cannot join the welcome home celebrations, we are cheering from here!

Thank you for your service to our country, Nathan. Thank you for enduring a year away from your husband and father, Trish & Morgan. Thank you to all of you who remembered Nathan in thought & prayer - we are truly blessed. Please remember the soldiers who are still deployed, still in harms way, and far from their loved ones. That world leaders would find a way to lasting peace and all the soldiers would return home safely.
