UPDATE: I was just looking at a slideshow of papal visits to the US and I think I missed one of Nathan's trips to see the Holy Father. He also went to St. Louis in 1999 to greet John Paul II!

I remember having exactly the same feelings and situation when JPII came to the Living History Farm in Iowa in 1978. I wanted desperately to go but had 2-year-old Rachel and 3-month-old Jenny to consider. Sleeping outdoors overnight on the ground would have been a challenge, to say the least!
