Like Mother Like Daughter
Published by Jenny November 19th, 2008 in Day to DayIt is always interesting (and sometimes humbling) to see yourself through your child’s eyes. Now that Livy is full of personality and imagination, I’m seeing more and more of her impressions of me. She is currently trying to read a book to Molly (who is not interested and walking away).
“Do you want me to read this book or not? Are you even listening? Molly I’m not going to read this book unless you come sit down. Right now. MOLLY!!!!!!!”
Followed by:
“Molly, I’m not very happy with you.”
All of which contains plenty of dramatization! I’d like to note for the record, that I am not usually so stern when it comes to reading books, however, I also cannot deny having said all of the above at one time or another.
Gotta run, Livy is now standing on her step stool in front of the stereo, holding her Wheels on the Bus CD, trying to figure out which button opens the tray!

Actually, I’m hearing my daughters say “Oh my gosh, I sound just like my mother” and they’re past 50!
