That sounds amazing! Jeremy’s parents take the grandkids camping during the summer but they have a camper with electricity and a toilet. Thank goodness, too, because I met them out at the lake once and we made it through a tornado warning and a severe thunderstorm crowded but dry in the little camper…three adults and seven children.

Really, though, your trip sounds great! Your kids are going to have such great memories!

Tim: Point taken and your parenting advice is always welcome here. In hind sight I probably should have had Jenny carrying a little more weight as well since it had been well over 7 weeks since giving birth. But don’t worry, I’ve got at least one post in the pipe-line that I’m positive will make you laugh like a little school girl and reaffirm the fact that my rural heritage is being passed on.

What’s this now? JR, didn’t you grow up on a farm? The whole point of having kids is so they can do the stuff you don’t want do do. And it’s never too early to get them started.

Heck, you ought to have them carrying somthing on thier backs just to make them tired.

Your camping trip was quite an adventure. I never really liked to camp and, fortunately, I married a man that shared my enthusiasm. I admire those that do. My son-in-law, Gary, really likes it too. His wife learned to like it. When they bought a nice trailer, Gary said “Now maybe you’ll go camping with us”. No, I haven’t yet. gg
