And because that’s what we, and most other people, are using. It isn’t that I have anything against Mac or Linux, but for your average home user it’s hard to beat the ease of Windows XP. But don’t get the wrong impression that I’m in favor of just buying into Microsoft, there is plenty of good open-source (free) software for Windows.
